Uniquely Singapore

Uniquely Singapore?
Have you ever tot after all these talks about preserving heritage , culture, places.. what is the most unique about Singapore?
In my interpretation, Hawker Centre is my choice. Is there any place that you see hawker centres overseas. Roadside stalls there might be but not really prim n proper , neatly arranged Hawker centres right?

This is a place that accompanied us from young. Selling our all time favourites such as fish ball noodle, prata, chicken rice ,duck rice etc etc. Variety and choice is always there, topping up with the fragrance of char quay teow lingering in the air。Foodcourt and coffeshop may try to mimic the variety but the 人情味 cant never be replicated else where. It may seems dirty and less hygienic but the food always tasted better. Compared to food court and kopitiam, 他少了一点商业感,不过多了一点人情味。This is what makes it so unique.

I guess why i always make it a point to visit the hawker centre once a week on sundays despite having to climb up early but this is where i grow up with. I always enjoy the moments in the hawker centre looking at the hustle n bustle of it. This is a feeling that i can never describe.

So wat is ur piece of uniquely singapore?
